Advantages of Being a Loner

Most human beings are born with a natural tendency to depend on others for everything. This dependence is illogical. It becomes an expensive affair in the long run.

If you are someone who needs company just for the heck of it or because you are a little insecure moving about by yourself, you are going to end up wasting a lot of time. One seldom finds a perfect match for company because everyone is individualistic. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences.

Everyone is born with their personal traits. Not everyone is going to be as committed as you are. Coordination and synchronisation are difficult tasks to execute. So, when two people team up for something everything should be planned like clockwork.

Don’t look for a friend to accompany you on your morning walks. Don’t look for company when you go out for lunch or dinner. Do it all by yourself. That way, you will save time or money or both. If you want to watch a movie, go to a cinema hall, buy your ticket and enjoy the movie. You don’t need a friend to do that.

If you need somebody by your side for everything, you will end up wasting a lot of your time. Your friend may not turn up at the appointed hour. Your friend may be late and keep you waiting till he or she arrives. The other thing is that you will have to synchronise all your actions with the convenience of your friend which could be taxing at times.

Once you learn to step out of this mindset, you will experience a new-founded freedom. You will no longer need to synchronise your actions with the timings of others. You will no longer need to find out as to when your friend would be free to accompany you to wherever you want to go or whatever you want to do.

It might be a little hard in the beginning but if you try to build up this habit, you will begin to enjoy the results of this initiative. Once you get into this habit of doing everything by yourself, things will begin to work like clockwork. You will no longer need to wait for someone or plan your routine with others which are not only time-consuming but also frustrating at times. That will relieve the stress of waiting for someone for everything.

Once you get into this habit, you will realise what a fool you have been. You don’t need to depend on anyone for each and everything—particularly if you can do it all by yourself. It saves a lot of time and energy—and, frustration.
