There are things that you may share with others and there are things that are to be kept secret. If you share your secrets with everyone that may make you vulnerable to adverse situations. So, it is in your own interest to identify matters that need to be kept secret and stop sharing them with others.
If you are planning something big, keep it to yourself. Don’t share it with anyone—not even with your friends. Not everybody is happy to see you happy. Somebody may even try to sabotage your plan so you do not succeed in your plan.
Your love life is a very personal thing. Better keep it that way. What you do with each other is your business. Nobody needs to know about that. If you make the mistake of sharing the details of your intimate moments with someone, it may work against you or your partner in the time to come. You never know. And, it may cause a lot of embarrassment to both of you.
Your income should be a closely-guarded secret. Nobody except the income-tax department should get wind of it. If people come to know that you are rolling in money, some of them may want to borrow money from you. And, if they fail to return the money, that could bring down the curtain on your friendship. The other thing is: there are pick-pockets, burglars, confidence tricksters and others who are always on the lookout for people with a lot of money on them. The best way to keep your money safe and away from conmen is to keep your income a secret.
Do not discuss your next move with anyone. Let people learn about it once you are done with it. Let it come as a surprise to them. When you discuss your next move with others, you strengthen the position of your adversaries by giving them an opportunity to counter or stall your move.
Never discuss your family matters with anyone. Let that be a family secret. If people get to know your family secrets, they may use it against you when you pick up a quarrel with them. If that happens to be a dark secret, people may even try to blackmail you.
Secrets are meant to be kept under the lid. They are not meant to be divulged or made public. Divulging your secrets can only put you in sticky situations. So, why take the risk?
