Every thought that emanates from the human mind; every word that emerges from our mouth; every action that our body churns out; creates an energy cycle. The energy thus generated might be positive energy or negative energy depending on its origin.

If the origin of the energy is based on positive thought, speech or action, it would emerge as positive energy which is most likely to produce positive results. If it originates from a negative source based on negative thought, speech or action, it is most likely to produce negative results.

In order to succeed in life, we need to promote positive energy and discourage negative energy. Here’s how you convert negative energy into positive energy. It involves three steps.

  1. You identify the sources of negative energy
  2. You challenge yourself to convert it into positive energy
  3. You convert negative energy into positive energy through sheer positive thinking
  4. Remember change is difficult. We are our own enemies when it comes to change. Because, change means stepping out of our comfort zone—something that we are used to and are comfortable with. So, it is better to introduce change in stages. The three stages proposed above are sufficient to transform the negative attitude in you into a positive approach.

Now, consider this:

You are assigned an important task. You begin by saying: No, no, I can’t do this. Your very take off is negative in this case. When you take off from a negative standpoint, the chances are that your flight will end up in a crash-landing.

Now that we know the origin of your negativity, we can start by challenging our internal resources to change this attitude. Instead of saying: I can’t do this, ask yourself: Can I do this. If you do this, you stop being preposterous. And, you start being logical. Now, instead of starting off with a negative attitude, you will consider the parameters and try to assess your ability to deal with it. That is a lot better than starting off with a negative attitude.

Once you ask yourself this important question. Your natural answer to this question has to be: ‘Yes, I can do it.’ When you start off with this attitude, you have already won half the battle. And, you will win the other half through sheer grit and determination.

Once you get into the habit of doing this, converting negativity into positivity will become second nature for you.
