The human mind is crammed with misconceptions. That’s because we are gullible. We believe what we hear. And, that belief gets embedded in our mind. We begin to believe that what we heard is the home truth. A little thought and effort can help us shed these misconceptions and introduce clarity into our mind.

There is no denying the fact that our body needs exercise to keep fit. We tend to believe that exercise is the master key to fitness. It takes as little bit of research to understand that this is not true. More than exercise, it is our food intake that contributes more towards making us healthy and fit. What we eat and we don’t have a lot to do with how fit we are. Recent studies claim that fitness is 80% nutrition and 20% workout.

Oftentimes, we associate clarity with reading. We tend to imagine that the more we read, the clearer our mind our mind gets. But reading need not always improve clarity of our mind—sometimes it might introduce confusion. In fact, thinking and writing can bring more clarity to our mind than reading. Think it over, if you like.

Physical growth is a natural phenomenon. It happens all by itself as we age. But we need grow in terms of education, career etc. in our life. This kind of growth depends on how disciplined we are. It takes a lot of discipline and commitment to grow to our full potential. In addition to that, we need a long-term vision so that we may plan our life accordingly and achieve success in life.

Investment is no joke. It calls for careful study of options and deciding on the right ones. It is not a game of quick gains though that might come our way once in a while. The greatest secret of investment is to invest gainfully and wait for the right moment to encash our gains. If we want to reap maximum benefit from our investments, we need to combine good sense of judgement with matching patience. We have to learn how to recognise opportune moments and make timely decisions.

For those who think that some people are born lucky, let us understand in very clear terms that attracting opportunities involves 0% luck! In fact, what it takes is putting yourself out there 100% and taking risks.

So, if you thought that things are the way you think they are, think again. You cannot get rid of these misconceptions unless you apply your mind to these beliefs and make a concerted effort to correct them. But take it from me—it is worth your while to make this effort. You cannot act decisively unless you have clarity of thought.
