One has to be forthcoming and forthright if one wants to improve one’s self worth. Here are a few ways to improve your self-worth.
First things first, learn to say ‘No.’ If you keep silent when your response to a situation should be ‘No,’ nobody would come to know of your disagreement. Because, silence is taken for consent.
You have a distinct personality and character. Wear it on your sleeve. Own up your entity and identity. Be proud of what you have and don’t crib about things that you think you do not have.
Life is all about learning. Learn a new skill each time you get an opportunity to learn one. It will help you in the long run and stand you in good stead in time of crises.
You are bound to have an opinion. So, express it where you have to. Don’t get subdued by others’ opinions, no matter who they are. If you think you are right, speak up for yourself.
Develop a fine taste for your appearance and groom yourself to bring out the best of your personality.
Everyone is prone to weaknesses. You are no exception. Don’t get bogged down by them. Instead, focus on your strengths and march ahead in life.
Always make it a point to celebrate your success. It will serve as a shot in the arm and urge you to go out and seek out more and more success.
Not everybody is as fortunate as you are. Always have a soft corner for your less privileged and deprivileged brethren. Help them with whatever you can.
Most of our fears are unfounded. If we give in to our fears, they will have an overbearing impact on us. It is best not to fear an imagined situation. The best things is to take the situation head on when it arrives rather than worrying about it in advance.
Remember that you are a unique being. There is no one quite like you. You have certain positive traits that belong only to you. Develop them and improve yourself day by day. That way you will improve your self-worth all the time.
