Money Cannot Buy Everything

Money is very important in life. Money can buy so many things. But there are somethings that money cannot buy. In fact, there are many things that money cannot buy.

Money can buy a huge mansion with fountains and swimming pools, but it cannot make a home out of it. You alone can make a home out of it.

With money, you can buy the best bed in the market with the coziest of quilts. But it cannot buy sleep. Sleep does not come with the bed.

Money can buy the most expensive clocks and watches. But it cannot buy time. Because, time does not stop for anyone—not even for the clock.

With money, you may be able to buy a whole lot of books. But you cannot buy knowledge with money. You have to develop knowledge on your own through reading and gathering information from various sources.

Money can buy food but it cannot create appetite. While the poor starve because of dearth of food, the rich are unable to eat food because of lack of appetite. You can buy all the food you want if you have the money. But what good is that when you do not have the appetite to stomach that?

Money can make you rich, but it cannot buy manners for you. Manners comes with repetition of good behavior. It comes through learning and practice. You have to cultivate good manners for yourself.

If you are born into a rich family, you may have a lot of money but that does not make you a moral person that everybody would like to emulate.

Respect does not come as a free gift with money. You have to earn respect in the society through good behavior.
Your character has to be built through concerted efforts. Money cannot buy character.

Common sense is not common, they say. The important thing is that money cannot buy common sense. You may be learned but if you don’t have common sense, you will not go far in life.

You may have a lot of money but money cannot buy trust. Trust has to be earned the same way as you earn respect.
No matter how moneyed you are, you cannot buy patience with money.

Not every rich man has class. That’s because class does not come with money. Those who are endowed with class may not be moneyed but they are a class apart.

Money cannot buy integrity because it has to established through sincerity and honesty.

Money can buy you friends but not love. Those who link up with you for money are mostly fair-weather friends. But people who love you will be around through the thick and thin of your life.

Money is very important in our life. But, clearly, money cannot buy everything.
