If you have a problem, try to sort it out immediately. Don’t start making excuses and prolong resolution of the problem. Because, if you prolong the problem, it may lead to procrastination and, after some time, it will weigh you down.

If you are tired—find out the cause of your tiredness. If that is because of lack of sleep, make sure that you grab sufficient sleep each day. Go to bed early, if necessary. Remember the old adage—early to bed and early rise makes you healthy, wealthy, and wise. So, you have three reasons to go to bed early!

If you feel you are out of shape. Do everything to get back into shape. Join a Gym or start exercising or go for a jog or a stroll—do whatever it takes to get back into shape.

If you are short of time, stop watching television shows. And, go over your daily routine to see what else you can cut down on to reduce wastage of your time. Once you identify the things that are contributing to the wastage of your time, see where all you can make cuts to save time.

If you are cash-strapped, think up ways of earning and saving money. And, if possible, dig out investment opportunities where you could multiply your money without taking undue risks. Above all, keep tabs on your cash situation and don’t go about wasting whatever little money you have in your purse.

If things get complicated, break up the entire process into bits of smaller actions and try to deal with them one at a time. And, then, finish them one after the other. By doing so, you will experience a feeling of achievement each time you complete a phase of the process. Eventually, you will realise that what you were trying to put off thinking it was a Herculean task is actually manageable.

If you feel that you are not sufficiently educated or lack knowledge needed for your chosen vocation, start reading books to make up for the deficiency. Reading can make up for a lot of space you lost because of lack of education or knowledge.

It is not that we do not know what to do. Most of us do. But, still, most of us don’t do what we are supposed to do. Because doing all those things could mean going out of our comfort zone. So, we find excuses for not doing those jobs.

If you really want to go up in life, stop making excuses and start doing what it takes to achieve success.
