If you thought money can buy anything and everything, think again. Because, there are many things that money can’t buy. Take a good look at these, if you don’t believe me:
You can buy a house but not a home because a house is a mere structure. It takes a happy family to make it a home where each member looks forward to return each evening.
You can buy the most expensive and coziest of beds in the world if you have money but still you cannot buy sleep. It is common knowledge that many moneyed people suffer from insomnia. Peace of mind is essential for sound sleep.
The rich may own the fanciest of watches or the most expensive clock. But they cannot buy time because as the saying goes: “Time and tide wait for none.”
A wealthy person may buy books like crazy and build a huge library but knowledge may not come with books. The books would have to be read in order to gain knowledge.
You may be able to get into a position of power but that does not mean that you would automatically gain respect that goes with that position. Because, respect is earned and it cannot be bought.
You may spend a fortune on the best of medicines if you have sufficient money but money cannot buy you good health. Because, there are so many other things you need to do to maintain good health.
If you have money, you may be able to buy as much blood as you want but you cannot buy life. Because, life depends on so many things besides blood.
Money can buy pleasure but not happiness. You may be able to travel across the world in the most expensive cruise but even that cannot ensure happiness at the end of the trip.
Money can buy sex but not love. A rich man may be able to enjoy sex by patronizing flesh trade which is illegal in most countries but he cannot buy love no matter how much money he is willing to spend on that.
If you are not stinking rich…if you are someone who laments the fact that you cannot buy so many things that the rich enjoy, you may find some solace in the fact that you are privileged to be in possession of so many things that money can’t buy!
