The important thing in life is to realise what is best for a happy and peaceful life. Here is as list of things to follow if you want to be happy and lead a peaceful life:

There’s a reason why we have two ears and one mouth. Obviously, we must listen more and talk less. If possible, we must listen at least twice as much as we talk and talk only half as much as we listen.

Most of us have big plans in life. But those plans rarely materialize. That’s because we procrastinate when it comes to implementing our plans. Our plans remain plans and they never take off. We must put our plans into action and reap the harvest of our efforts.

If you have a choice, drink more tea than soda. Soda, or for that matter, any carbonated drink which passes for soft drink or cold drink is more harmful for us than tea.

Stop binging on junk food. Junk food, often called fast food, may taste good but it is harmful for our body because of the ingredients that go to make them. The best thing is to eat healthy foods like salad.

If you want to be successful in life, stop complaining about every little thing. Take control of the situation and do what needs to be done. In other words, take responsibility for the mess and find ways to pull yourself and others out of it. Additionally, encourage others to do the same.

Worry never solved any problem. On the contrary, worry only makes the situation worse. So, stop worrying and start replacing your negative thoughts with positive thoughts. That way, your worries will give way to hope.

Stop doubting and start believing in yourself and others. That will make a whale of a difference to you and make this world a better place to live in. It will also improve your confidence levels.

Don’t go around wasting your time as if you do not have anything better to do. And, if you really don’t have anything important to do, spend your time working out. That will at least tone up your health.

If you are someone who is given to constant frowning, check yourself and put an end to this habit. When you frown, you appear to be under stress. Instead, if you bring a smile on your face, it will send out a different signal to the people you meet and spread positivity among them.

At any given point, take stock of the situation and trust yourself to deal with the situation. You feel insecure when you don’t trust yourself or your ability to deal with situations.

Unless you put your best foot forward and exhibit some confidence, people are going to take you for a weakness and treat you as such. Lack of trust in yourself is a negative trait and it sends out a wrong signal. Avoid this at all costs.
If you are ignorant about something, no problem. Try to educate yourself and gain some knowledge on issues where you are found wanting in knowledge. There’s nothing like understanding things from the right perspective.

Avoid hatred at all costs. It usually ends up in violence and bloodshed in extreme cases. Remember that everything can be settled amicably. There is no better weapon than love to sort out differences.

Always be grateful to people who help you or stand by you during difficult times. If you are ungrateful, you might find it difficult to enlist the assistance of the people who stood by you in difficult times earlier on.
