If you are sold to the idea that you need a huge capital investment to start a business, think again! This is the age of internet. We have witnessed sea changes in the way modern business is run.
Look at OYO, for instance. They don’t own a single hotel. Yet they are doing roaring business in the hotel industry.
OLA and Uber have the largest network of cab service. Yet they do no own a single car.
Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and many such online markets own some of the largest online market space. But they do not have stock of their own. They simply provide a platform for sellers and buyers. Their business is to bring buyers and sellers together.
Think of YouTube, Facebook, twitter, Instagram and scores of other social media platforms. They do not generate any content. They just provide platforms for generating content. They simply host these platforms.
Netflix does not own a television channel. So, what keeps them in business? Think about it.
Zomato and Swiggy have no restaurant of their own. But they are names to reckon with though they just ferry food around.
Bitcoin has no physical currency. Yet they are into big business in the investment market.
Airbnb is one of the largest estate agencies in the USA. But Airbnb does not own a single property.
If this is not enough to substantiate my point, nothing else can. Believe it or not, all you need is a big workable idea. That’s it. And, you can hitch hike to big business without investing huge sums of money!
Today, you do not need an elaborate office to run your business. A laptop or even a smart phone could do the trick for you. You can monitor and manage your entire business sitting at a far-off place in your private space through internet. That is the power of the internet.
Clearly, you don’t need seed capital to start your own business today. The days of seed capital are on their way out. Today, if you have a solution to any problem people are facing, that might turn out to be one of the biggest business ideas. Today, all you need is a great idea followed by skill, will and confidence to run a business.
